Welcome to FreePicEdit ("we", "our", or "the Service"). By accessing or using freepicedit.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FreePicEdit, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of Service

FreePicEdit provides free, browser-based image editing tools including:

• AI-powered background removal
• Image enhancement and upscaling (4× with sharpening)
• Image resizing, cropping, and rotation
• File format conversion (JPG, PNG, WebP)
• Image compression with file size targeting
• A community Q&A knowledge hub with 1000+ answered questions

All tools are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the images you upload and process. By using FreePicEdit, you confirm that:

• You own the images you upload, or have explicit permission from the copyright holder to process them.
• You will not use the Service to process illegal, harmful, obscene, defamatory, or privacy-violating content.
• You will not upload images depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such use is illegal and will be reported to relevant authorities.
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure.
• You will not use the Service to process images of individuals without their consent in contexts that violate their privacy.

4. Image Privacy & Data

We take your privacy seriously:

• Enhancement, Resize, Convert, Compress: All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to our servers.
• Background Removal: Your image is sent to a third-party AI API for processing (Remove.bg, Clipdrop, Photoroom, or similar). Images are processed and immediately discarded — not stored.
• We do not sell, share, or retain your image data.
• We use anonymous analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the Service. No personal data is collected without consent.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to the images you upload and the processed results you download. FreePicEdit makes no claim to ownership of your content.

The FreePicEdit website, tools, code, and Q&A content are owned by FreePicEdit and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our website code or content without written permission.

6. Advertising

FreePicEdit displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free Service. Ads are served by Google and are subject to Google's advertising policies. We do not control the specific ads displayed. You may use browser ad blockers at your discretion.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

FreePicEdit is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific results from our AI tools. Image processing quality depends on the quality of uploaded images and third-party API availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreePicEdit shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or loss of profits.

9. Third-Party Services

Background removal uses third-party AI APIs. Our Q&A comments use Cusdis. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or their data practices.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Processing images for harassment, defamation, or targeted abuse of individuals
• Creating deepfakes or manipulated images intended to deceive or defraud
• Any use that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Automated bulk processing that disrupts Service availability for other users

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
